Raghad AlMotairy, Research Technician
Raghad joined the lab in April 2023. She holds a BSc in Biomedical Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Arkansas Tech University.
Sophia Blessinger, ACBP Graduate Student
Sophia is an IBMG student from Foster City, California who joined the Norlander lab in May 2025. Sophia is interested in sex differences, T cells, and hypertension. Sophia holds a BS in Cell and Molecular Biology from Tulane University and in her spare time enjoys listening to live music and hosting dinner parties.

Tommy Lombardo, Master's Student
Tommy has a Bachelor of Science in biology from IUPUI and worked in the lab for the spring semester of 2024 as part of the Preprofessional Master's Program.
Justin Yu, Medical Student
Justin Yu is currently a medical student at IUSM, who joined the Norlander Lab in May of 2024 for a summer research project. He is interested in immunology, rheumatology, and cardiology research. In 2023, Justin graduated from Vanderbilt University, where he received a BA in molecular and cellular biology as well as history. Justin originally hails from Carmel, Indiana and grew up around the area. In his free time, he enjoys running, bouldering, sketching, and being outdoors
Mahbub Ullah, MS, PhD, Research Assistant Professor
Mahbub was a member of the lab from April 2024 through September 2024. He holds a BSc in Biochemistry and Biotechnology and a MS in Biotechnology from the University of Science and Technology Chittagong, Bangladesh. He holds a PhD in Physiology from Monash University, Australia .
Fernanday Louis, Research Intern
Fernanday joined the lab in September 2023 and was a member through August 2024.
Carley Szarkowicz, LHSI Research Intern
Carley joined the lab in September 2024 and was a member through April 2025.
Audrey Bai, IUSCCC Summer Research Intern
Audrey is an undergraduate at Amherst College majoring in Biochemistry and Philosophy. She was a member of the Norlander Lab for the summer of 2025 through a research program with the IU Comprehensive Cancer Center. Her academic interests include immunology, oncology, metabolism, neurobiology, and developmental biology. Outside of the lab, she enjoys photography, biking, and digital art.
Rahi Patel, Research Intern
Hello, my name is Rahi. I am an undergraduate sophomore at IUPUI. I was a member of the Norlander lab from September 2023 - December 2025. I am recently completed my undergraduate degree in biology at Indiana University-Purdue University with a minor in Neuroscience.
Quinn Hulsey, ACBP Graduate Student
Quinn Hulsey completed at IUSM in ACBP with the Norlander lab. She joined the Norlander lab in May 2024 and Completed her MS in May of 2026. Quinn holds a BS in Biological Chemistry from Culver-Stockton College and a MS in Biomedical Sciences from Marian University. She grew up in Sullivan, Missouri and enjoys disc golfing, reading, fishing, and spending time with my family.
Chloe Crenshaw, LHSI Research Intern
Chloe is an undergraduate at IU Indianapolis. She was a member of the Norlander lab from September 2025 to May 2026. She is pursuing an undergraduate degree in Biology with a minor in Epidemiology.
